In communities around the world, there are remarkable individuals who commit their entire life efforts, energies and spirit to improving the lives of those around them. For the economically depressed areas of Orlando, Florida's Parramore, Holden Heights, Carver Shores and Pine Hills neighborhoods, Barbara Ansar is that person. She is the founder of Charity & Love, Inc. and the organization has come into being as a result of how this notable woman lives. Barbara's life-long commitment to human service is evidenced in her 35 year employment history with Florida's Department of Children and Families. As an Economic Self-Sufficiency Specialist for the last 22 years, she has assisted thousands of individuals and families to access public resources available to them in order to become self-sufficient and improve the quailty of their lives. Not content to only provide service from a professional capacity. Barbara Ansar has also spent countless hours in a voluntary capacity serving as the President of the Social Service Ministry at her church, on the Family Selection Committee for Habitat for Humanity, as the Resource Person for Mother's of Incarcerated Sons, and as the Director of the Clothing Ministry for Good News Jail Ministry of Orlando, Orange County Work Release Center.
